Brent Cooper, President of C-Forward, is the newest Chair of the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce

Brent Cooper, president and CEO of C-Forward Inc., was appointed chairman of the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday, September 13, at the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce’s annual dinner at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center in Covington.

Cooper’s involvement with the Chamber began four years after he started his own company, C-Forward Inc., in 1998. The company – with offices in Covington, Ky., and Columbus, Ohio -- provides information technology consulting services to small and mid-size businesses, governments, and nonprofit organizations. The company installs, configures, and supports a variety of computers and computer-related software and equipment; C-Forward supports anything that touches a computer.

C-Forward has grown from one employee – Cooper – in 1998 to 26 employees now. The company’s revenue has increased 10-fold since its first year of operation.

Cooper said that C-Forward’s business doubled in 2002, the year that he decided to get involved with the Chamber. He quickly discovered how his business benefited from its membership in the Chamber. Through committee meetings, events, training programs, and volunteer opportunities, he was able to learn how he could utilize the Chamber of commerce to grow his business.

Cooper said he is honored and excited to be appointed as president and chairman of the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. Cooper’s vision for the next year is to make jobs, education, and the economy the Chamber’s top priorities. His goal is to help create the best business climate possible so businesses will know that Northern Kentucky is a great place to live and a great place to make a living.

“I am excited about this opportunity to help give back to an organization and a community that has given me so much,” he said. “I also feel very blessed to have a great team at C-Forward that will assist me in continuing to grow our business while I attend the responsibilities of the new position.”
